Rant Cast 155 – from Pyongyang, with love

On the penultimate Rant Cast of the season regulars Ed & Paul discuss an emotional day at Old Trafford, with Sir Alex Ferguson saying goodbye to the home crowd for the final time. In an orchestrated farewell of North Korean proportions, the Theatre of Dreams saw its worst nightmare come true, with Ferguson leaving the club after 1500 games in charge.

Also on the show this week – we look back on United’s performance against Swansea City, with Rio Ferdinand grabbing a late winner in Fergie’s final home game, and a fantastic club parade through Manchester. We look forward to a future under David Moyes, and say goodbye to David Beckham and Paul Scholes.

We take you Twitter questions, give away a fabulous t-shirt, and look forward to the final game of the season against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthornes.

In a dramatic week for the club, Sir Alex steps aside with David Moyes appointed the new manager on a six year contract. Does the Everton manager have what it takes to lead United to ever greater glory or will the step up prove too much?

Also on the show this week: we look back on United’s defeat to Chelsea at Old Trafford and preview the weekend match with Swansea City. It is sure to be an emotional occasion. Finally, we give away a Ferguson testify in our new competition.

Rant Cast 153 – one hungry n*^%a

On this week’s Rant Cast presenters Ed & Paul review Manchester United’s laboured draw with Arsenal at the Emirates. Just how hungover was Sir Alex Ferguson’s side; and how bad Arsene Wenger’s to not take advantage? The Reds gave up on a potential Premier League points record, but secured a creditable draw in north London.

Also on this week’s show: we talk race rows, yet again, with the PFA hanging comedian Reginald D Hunter out to dry after the the American dropped (several) N-bombs at the annual awards ceremony. Individual gongs were handed out to Tottenham Hotspurs’ Gareth Bale, although United secured four players in the Team of the Year.

We take your questions, talk about the Champions League semi-finals, take in some transfer rumours and preview United’s fixture with Rafa Benitez’ Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday!

Rant Cast 152 – the one with title winning bite

On this week’s Premier League winning Rant Cast Ed & Paul celebrate Manchester United’s spectacular title triumph. It was the 20th time United has been crowned ‘Champions of England’ – the 13th title for Sir Alex Ferguson, and of course, Sir Ryan of Giggs. The celebrations continued long into the night… but that was just your Rant Cast hosts.

Also on this week’s packed show we talk about Luis Suarez once again, as the Liverpool forward takes a bite out of Branislav Ivanovich. The 10 game ban that followed the Uruguayan’s antics at Stamford Bridge will give Liverpool’s embittered supporters something to new complain about.

Meanwhile, we take your questions, do a bit of singing and look forward to Robin van Persie’s guard of honour at the Emirates next weekend!

We talk horses as a Newcastle United fan takes on our equine brethren at fisticuffs. But who came out on top in the battle of man vs. burger?

Finally, we look forward to United’s home fixture with Aston Villa on Monday night – a game in which United could potentially seal the Premier League title.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s side narrowly beat Sunderland in the Premier League to maintain a 15 point Premier League lead. But in the FA Cup, Fergie’s side went crashing out after defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The manager seemingly prioritised the league, but was he right to do so?

Also on this week’s show – we talk Carlos Tevez. The Argentinian striker was given 250 hours community service for driving without a license. Will he be cleaning out your bins this week?

And we look forward to the Manchester derby on Monday night. Will the party begin at Old Trafford?

Rant Cast 146 – Ronald-oh

After two weeks of conspicuous absence, regular presenters Ed and Paul return with this week’s Rant Cast. On the show this week we look back on Manchester United’s matches with Queens Park Rangers, Norwich City and Real Madrid.

In London a stunning goal by Rafael da Silva helped United to a comfortable win at Loftus Road. Meanwhile, a burst of late goals sealed a healthy 4-0 victory over Norwich at Old Trafford.

Yet, celebrations over a substantial lead in the Premier League were brought to a halt, with Real Madrid winning 2-1 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night. Did referee Cuneyt Cakir’s controversial dismissal of winger Nani end United’s hopes in Europe for another season?

We take all your Twitter questions, give away a fine competition prize from China Town Branch and, finally, look forward to United’s FA Cup quarter-final tie with Chelsea at Old Trafford this weekend.
