Fuck him, his attitude is all wrong and that's why he will never be mentioned in the same breath as Ruud or Andy Cole. Needs to get more dirty goals like Chicharito.

Ugh, please. His attitude isn't wrong at all. He's saying "that's just the way I play". How many players would have thrown a hissy fit and quit the club after suffering the the ignominy of being top scorer in the league yet being left out of the Big Cup final squad? I can name you at least two of our recent big-name players who would have done just that. Instead he's come back determined to fight for his place against stiffer competition than before. That is just the right kind of attitude we want in a United player.

"I always play like this. That is what got me here."
Emphasis on the last sentence
We're not England fans FFS we don't blame everything on a lack of passion/effort. We appreciate skills and talent.

I wish I could score 20 goals in the premiership whilst being a "lazy shite".
Then again he scored 11 of them in three games against shit teams.

I'll admit that Berbatov hasn't been the £30mill success that we'd hoped... but I refuse to put the blame on him for that... I don't much like the ceaseless criticism that he gets here... the simple fact is, we got EXACTLY what we paid for... this is how he plays... that he didn't fit perfectly into our system, is Fergusons fault.
Some like Cal will argue that we never should have signed him, and that's fair enough, as Cal never wanted him in the first place... but some here, wanted him when he was a rumoured target, and then turned on him unfairly, when they noticed he wasn't running about like Rooney... some even said, "sign him up" cause they thought he looked well cool with a fag hangin out his mouth... ridiculous...
He carried United for the first half of last year, and some of his play was sublime... his attitude has been completely professional... and whether you think his time at United has been a success or not, he doesn't deserve abuse... he's done absolutely nothing wrong.
"Badges, to god-damned hell with badges! We have no badges. In fact, we don't need badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges, you god-damned cabrón and ching' tu madre! Come out from that shit-hole of yours. I have to speak to you."Posted 1 year ago # -

fits and starts... 8 of them in 2 games.... relatively unused from the turn of the year
and besides...half a good season does not account for 2 and half of mediocrity (at best)
still, i never wanted him anyway so i'm bound to be biased

The stats show that Berbatov scored more winners in the PL last year than any other player and not one of them was a penalty. So don't tell me he only scores easy or useless goals.
Give him a partner against any team, he's an excellent player who scores goals. Play him on his own against any team, he struggles.

In a season where nobody really carried us along consistently from August to May, I thought Berbatov was one of out better players, certainly his best for us yet. When he wasn't scoring goals, some of his passing in build up play was absolutely superb. There are all-too-forgotten moments in games that are left on the cutting room floor and don't get shown on Match of the Day. I say this as someone who used to give him stick for strutting around and not contributing.
Sadly, some people will play down what he did contribute and talk about how he only scored against shite teams or how his season faded towards the end. I do think he needs to show a bit more commitment and mental toughness rather than sulk when he has been dropped.
There probably are players out there better suited to our style of play than Berbatov but, as Alf says, that's Fergie's problem not Dimitar's.
There's no question about his talent. Even if he probably isn't the sort of striker suited to our system, I still think he has a lot to offer. The question is about his attitude. He can give us much more next season and hopefully he will.

Where's Uncleknobhead... a thread on Knobbys lovechild, hols?
Leave out the 30M tag, Alf, if United are so fookin stupid and pay that amount, it aint a slur on Berbs, just shows that money is on the table if Fergie demands it.

MUFC: THE RELIGIONPosted 1 year ago # -
The only reason he's still here is because hes too lazy to move house.

So he cost £30m - Is he meant to suddenly think 'shit, I better alter my game and run about more to give the illusion of value!'
Because being joint scorer in the league isn't enough for some people
Also, there is no reason football wise why he can't play on well into his 30s. With his skills, vision and control there must be a role for him deeper - nearer the midfield - in some 451 type formation where he can be excellent and look the shit

the tov for president
superb player - frustrating as fuck but when he is on form, he is 1 in 30 millionPosted 1 year ago # -
Sid how the fuck canhe be expected to play any deeper....tried that and it doesn't work
ffs, Rooney>>>>>>>>>>>>Hernandez>>>>>>>>>>>>Spike>>>>>>>>>Berbatov>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Han

Good Idea Sid
But lets put him in the defence then he can steal the ball from Vidic the Wimp and Rio the Ponce, bulldoze his way thru the midfield, do a quick 1-2 with that lazy git Rooney and then smash the ball (and the Keeper) thru the netting.*high fives Bri, opps he aint here*

I'm talking about playing him more in midfield than in the hole because that's Rooney's position, aye
We could have him doing a job for us well into his 30s providing he stays injury free - that would represent value

play him sweeper like gullit did

Spot on! Berbs said he was not worth that amount of money when we were trying to sign him. Fergie and Gil paid well over his worth. I hope they don't do the same with sneijder

Hernandez out for a month
We'll see more of Berba then, and Welbeck hopefully

Fergie admitted that he didn't know that Chicharito has a history of migraines.
Typical United. Always finding these things out after the event.
God, I'm so fed up with the club. I just want the season to start so that I actually have something tangible to piss and moan at.
Then again, maybe I'm just pissed off with the cricket. Bastards.
