its not done yet but i cant see us losing 3 and city winning hem all on current form.. i wont celebrate yet but its close..
Depends what state City are in after yesterday's meltdown and whether they can find it within themselves to keep pushing us.
If they're still rocking, they might fuck West Brom up on Wednesday. And I expect them to drop points at Norwich next weekend.
All that matters is we look after our own games... City can win the rest of theirs for all I care.
if city win all their games, that means we will lose at their place...
not something i would really like to see except of course if we are so far ahead of them, it doesnt matter
Some of the fans might be getting a bit carried away and assuming the title is a foregone conclusion, but the important thing is that Fergie isn't, and more to the point he will not allow his players to either.
Based on form it in all probability it is a foregone conclusion.
I thought the celebrations were premature before yesterday, but an 8 point lead really is a lot with only six games to go. Still, one reason why I feel so confident is because we've only been knocked out of every other competition. There's much less chance of the lads slipping up when they only have to focus on one game a week, most weeks anyway. So while the likelihood of us winning the PL again this season is an immense achievement, it definitely comes with a bit of a nagging feeling about what the future holds.
On the whole, Fergie's bought well in the last few windows, bringing in some young players that have a lot of promise, especially in defence. But time's really running out to prove that we're not going down the Arsenal road.
The difference between us and Arsenal though is they were using the "transition period" line as an excuse for not winning trophies for several years (must be the longest transition period in history), whereas we're going through a genuine team transition because of older players being gradually replaced, but at the same time we're staying competitive, and this title win when it comes could be just what the young players need to get a taste of success as they mature and improve together as a team. We still need a few more top-draw players to round the team off, but I'm fully confident that this is gonna be a strong team for many years to come.
You never know but I'd be reasonably confident - City will go into the derby needing to win, a situation they don't do very well. They're a collection of great individual talent but a bad team and I'd expect them to put that right in time & win the title in the next season or two.
Enjoy this one ( if we do hang on ) for that reason !
Not getting over excited yet, won nothing till she sings out loud.
So it appears the players already thought it was won. Reality check tonight for those shower of cunts!
As long as a reality check is all it is then I can cope with that. Make no mistake though, we're still 5-points clear, so this title is still ours to lose.
some stupid cunt started this topic after the qpr win brought out the twats who thought it was all over
5 pts with 5 games to go is still enough.
you're the cunt that started this topic and you jinxed us
Celebrations were justified until Taggart took them to the golf and spa country club in jock land where they were treated to manicures, pedicures, massages and prawn sandwiches.
Whiskey Nose then slagged off Tevez who has been the difference to City's new confidence.
Mancini's mind games have also worked and whatever happens he has taken the title to the wire.
How Wino was bumming up Scholes and Evans is a huge own goal.
Again, shut the fuck up, bag the tite and then start with the chilish soundbites.
Poor management by Fergie and good work by Mancini to get himself back into the title.
We are the laughing stock of the media today and quite rightly.
Taking the field against Wigan, they thought they had it won. 4-2 up v Everton, same thing, lesson from the Wigan game not learnt. This is most unFergusonlike at this stage of a season, I'm starting to wonder if, like Wenger, we've seen the last great team under his watch. Even I the pessimist thought we had it on Easter Sunday night !
The Liverpool fans meeting in the pubs near Anfilth for the WBA game ( oh to be Roy Hodgson after that one !) would've caught the tail-end of our one: who did they root for ??
4-2 up with 7 minutes to go
8 point lead reduced down to 3 - possibly 0
Looking like this team has no bottle
