Hi,
I would like to clarify my opinion on the glazers if I may seening as everyone is having a go at me so here we go:
1) the ticket prices are very reasonable (e.g. under16s go in for £10) and have been repeatedly frozen recently and other clubs such as arsenal and liverpool charge more and never win anything)
2) they have given huge amounts of money to fergie to spend on the squad (£50 million this summer, £30 million for berba and £18 million each for ando, nani and hargo. They also allowed a 250k a week contract for wayne)
3) I do think they shouldn't have borrowed against the value of the club and saddled united with debt, I think all clubs should be owned by the fans and no one person should make a profit out of a football club, it is ruining football imo. Once the debt has been paid off (maybe by use of the ipo) then I have no problem with them being owners as I would rather have them than an oil billionare like shitty!
4) Finally, they havent been pushy owners changing every aspect of the club (chelski) and have been quite passive in their involvement
Thanks for reading and while this might make me seem arrogant I promise it isnt about that, I just wanted to give you my opinion in a whole article rather than in bits on other threads. I respect everyones opinion but lets just be grateful for the club we support and the success we have enjoyed, long may it last!
