Shauno you have it dead right. Dogleash and Liverpool have no moral compass at all and the fans just copy them. Maybe one individual has an excuse (maybe) but not a whole organisation with a global fan base. The fans copy the lead of a religion (Liverpool FC) that has given them hope in a deprived area, and their God (Dogleash). A bit deep but this Oldham incident is a direct result of it. Their thinking is so basic. This is the world we live in.
If they had come out and said we are sorry for whole incident and as a club we are going double our efforts in the fight against racism they might have more goodwill. In the case of Suarez if he just said I've made a massive mistake, I apologise and Im going to do some extra work for the FA to help the fight against racism ie lead initatives etc then it would have helped.
Instead of which we have this playground like denial and siege mentality. T-shirts "A fantastic gesture" - we are backing our man - its so 70s. Its not about you or Liverpool or Suarez its about fighting racial prejustice. The sad thing is it is all about their ego. The worst side of the beautiful game.
