    If Carrick became a serious long-range goal threat, it would add a lot to our attack, because how often do we see us struggle to punch through a tightly-packed defence in the box? Teams can't crowd the box so much if you've got some deadly long-range shooters.

    A good day's work by the lads, and it's nice to see the goals being shared around. The Scholes-Carrick midfield combo is clearly not going to cut it against better sides though...

    Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Rafael, Rio, Evans, Evra, Welbeck… all had good games today. Shame we didn’t go a few up in first half, cos it would have been a thrashing.

    Anyone else think our style of football today was impressive? Lots of one touch football, flicks and great distribution to the wings. Welbeck has been a revelation this season. Just wish we had Cleverley back. Those two are awesome together.

    And Rafael looks SHARP. Maybe we can stop playing CB/wingers at right back now!

    United should have won 7 or 8 nil.

    We played really well in the first half, got a bit sloppy in the second half until we got our second goal. All in all a decent performance but we were wasteful in front of goal. Carrick played really well. He made one sublime pass to Welbeck in the first half - who could only smash the ball straight at the Bolton keeper. That 3rd goal was well taken.

    Sounds like we could have fucked it up, but didn't

    Unfortunately Scholes scoring cements Fergie's position on those outrageous and spoilt enough to want him to sign a midfielder
