It's like having a new signing.

I love Scholes to bits. I really really really do.
But this is ridiculous. I really hope we get stuffed in the FA cup and don't even finish in the top 4 . May be that would convince Fergie that we need to buy some fucking midfielders. May be that would convince the Glazers that they've milked United to the last penny and would have to cough up some money to get more out of it and may be they might just say sod it and fuck off.But getting a 38 year old player, who is clearly past his best, 6 months into retirement to come back out of retirement straight to the bench in a derby is beyond ridiculous. Speaks volumes of the present state of our club. I'm fuckin livid.Posted 1 year ago # -
James Lynch on Twitter: "Scholes back? Paul Scholes back?...Scholesy? Unbelievably excited United fan, we have a chance today now!"
what a twat

So i presume this means we won't see cleverley any time soon? Embarrassing that we have to recall scholes.

i suppose we could ask city to loan us hargreaves until the end of the season

This is a fucking joke.. a new low, and it pretty much confirms we have 0 funds. What the fuck is fergie on about when he says. "It’s always sad to see great players end their careers, but especially so when they do it early."
Scholes is 37, has been well past his best for at least 2 years.. how is that retiring early?! Fergie is delusional.Posted 1 year ago # -
I'm so happy about this. At least we have some substance back to our midfield for a few months again.
Apart from Cleverley who has at least potential theres nothing but rotting dead wood in that area.
He wont play many games and he's past his best but he's a proper midfielder and makes a huge diffetence to us even in regards to simple stuff like holding on to the ball and just having a go-to man in the team again.I don't know why people arn't happy about this.
We didn't have the balls or gumption to sign in the summer so this is the next best thing.
I'm gonna check the odds on us winning the league now cause this is great news. The real troubles in life are apt to the things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle tuesday.Posted 1 year ago # -
"No need to panic"... says Ferguson... huckin hell...
"Badges, to god-damned hell with badges! We have no badges. In fact, we don't need badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges, you god-damned cabrón and ching' tu madre! Come out from that shit-hole of yours. I have to speak to you."Posted 1 year ago # -

Two weeks back I wrote on here that our manager is a sadist. He really likes to just torment us followers of this great club and go back home, have his red wine with Cathy and laugh at us.
But we love him. To bits too.
Dear Sir Alex Ferguson, the 4-4-2 formation with two strikers and two central midfielders is DEAD. Please stop playing this. Thank you very much sir. Regards,
A Loyal Fan.Posted 1 year ago # -
Again what the fucking nora is going on
Scholes was a bit shit at times last season... looked off the pace
We really must be fucking skint

After coming on after 60 mins, Paul Scholes made 71 passes (97% complete), more than any Man City player in the entire game
He's just a bit shit under pressure

He looked classy today

Joey Barton "If ur Anderson and a player that has been retired for 6 months and gets on before u. Surely u have got to reconsider the club ur at."
Bringing Scholes back is more about having enough bodies IMO
But still, let's hope Anderson takes the hint

Bringing Scholes back will only make sense to those caught in a time warp!! That man is a waste of a valuable shirt!! I honestly can't believe that he is back.
He messed up Anderson career at Utd now he is back to do it again.

pogba will leave beacuse of it, why cant he get a game before a retired player
Posted 1 year ago # -
Anderson has had plenty of time to show us he is good enough, he can only blame himself. Too many excuses due to self indulgence.

as much as i love scholes, i just can't see how bringing him back was a good idea. it'll cause unrest amongst the younger players, it'll give ferguson another excuse to not buy a midfielder, and scholes himself is never going to be able to play in a proper competitive game.

If Pogba can't see that Scholes is a better footballer than him even at 37, then he can take his sorry attitude elsewhere. He might actually learn something watching the man play. The same goes for Anderson and Gibson, both of which have overinflated egos. Do your talking on the pitch, make yourself undroppable and then Fergie won't have bring back 37s to boost the squad.

how come we are all so called experts on Pogba's so called attitude problem etc
Where do we get this info from? DO we personally know him, or are we just being presumptuous twats jumping on a rumour from the daily rags about his contract situation
FFS...perspective please

The worst part of this guy's availability is that our manager will go back to using him as a "reliable" back up when things are not going well instead of trusting youth.
There is absolutely nothing to be gained by this individual's return. His legs are gone. he can't win balls for us and worse of all, we would not be able to blood youngsters in proper matches anymore. Morrison should be playing alongside Carrick and one other in a midfield trio now. But instead he is there scratching his head and wondering what the heck is going on that a 37 year old has been coaxed out of retirement! Mousa Dembele is another at Fulham who we could go and buy and watch him actually run and dribble the ball from the centre of midfield like Giggs is being asked to do these days. yet we hack back to a has-been. Makes no sense.
If Pogba and Morrison go then the return of Scholes is the reason. Not money.

yeah. just ridiculous. i was fuming for the last 30 mins of the game cause he was playing (and obviously cause we were shit)
fergie's lost the plot. either that or we actually have no money at all and this he's trying to make a point to the glazers about the ridiculousness of it all.
and i dont care what his passing stats were. fact was he lost the ball and they scored. there were tons of times he underhit the ball yesterday. scholes of old NEVER underhit a pass. i reallly really hope he doesnt play like shit for the next 6 months and ruins his reputation... and fucks up our season.
and i agree with barton. if i were anderson i'd be annoyed. gibson should be sold anyway. and yeah it would annoy pogba and morrison. hard to show what you've got, when the manager doesnt ever fucking play you.

What is scariest for me Bagg, is how people are caught in a time warp about this situation. Paul Scholes WAS a great footballer. Fantastic midfield player for club and country. In the previous three seasons before this, he could never get a foothold in any proper contest. NOT one proper match against a top side has he played well in those seasons. YET he is called back and people are falling over themselves to talk him up.
Amazing.
