   Pogba might have a decent attitude, but if he walks because they brought back Scholes, then perhaps he'd be better off elsewhere. That's the problem with the modern footballer, too much ego and not enough output. Are you telling me Pogba would have come on and had 97% percent success on his passes?

   "In the previous three seasons before this, he could never get a foothold in any proper contest. NOT one proper match against a top side has he played well in those seasons"

   And Anderson, Gibson and Pogba have? I know youth needs its chance, but Pogba isn't ready to come into games like yesterday. And lets be fair Morrison is a completely different player to the Scholes of today.

   i still cheered when scholes came on because he is one of a kind - awlays will be. hwr as soon as the breaking news ticker cam on I knew rationally this was a bad step.

   fergie is a bullshit artist - no value, happy with squad etc. gives giggs a new contract and now scholes is back for rest of year.

   it's a backward step. i wld rather have pogba fuck up and let in a goal than scholes. at least pogba has a future.

   that was an awfull attempt at a save by the keeper in fairness straight at him

   I thought he did just ok but then he'd be a bit ring ruster anyways

   It only for few months and realistically we need a complete clearout of that area this summer. apart from Cleve I be happy with a complete change and reconstruction .
   After years of this I'll want fergies head on a pike this summer if he dosn',t comply.

   The real troubles in life are apt to the things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle tuesday.

   Scholes is my Fave ever United Player...I tell kids to watch videos of him (along with Xavi, Iniesta etc) to learn how the game should be played..But I agree this is a backwards step...Not once yesterday did he try one of his inch perfect 40-50 yard balls....Caution it may have been, Ring rusty it may have been...But as a 37 year old, who has not played for 8 months, That has not had a proper pre season behind him, that has been coaching reserves all of a sudden to be our saviour just proves how fucking low we have dropped

   For all the Fergie apologists saying trust the great man, (and lets be honest he is great), surely this is a wake up call..

   You cant go spouting shit about no value, there's no one good enough about that would improve us etc etc and expect us to take it all in when you recall Scholes out of retirement.

   Its embarrassing more than disgraceful...plain embarrassing.

   To be fair, I'm not sure that our so-called awesome youth, is as good as everyone is making out.

   I've not seen anything from Pogba that suggests he's ready... and he's supposed to be the "Daddy" in the youth team.

   He may be highly rated for his potential, but from what I've seen, it's still just that... potential... and I wouldn't trust him in a game against a top 4 premier league team.

   And for me... Morrison needs to prove he's got his head right, first... professionalism is about discipline... if he dedicates himself to football, he can be special... but that seems to be a big "if"...

   Having said that... I can't believe we are so desperate, that we've brought back Scholes... the transfer window is open, and if we sign no one... what does that say for our ambition?

   Agreed re Pogba and Morrison.

   Whilst I accept their appearances thus far have been limited, nothing about them made me sit up and take notice. The coaching staff and Fergie are obviously not 100% convinced yet.

   But then, what do they know?

   Pogba and Morrison preferably now need to go out on loan, but Pogba would probably favour a spell back in France and with Morrison's disciplinary record he might go AWOL!

   Anderson is now our 5th choice CM, Gibson our 6th. At least the GBomb cost nothing.

    Morrison is another gazza minus the flabby tits.

    I think we are the only club that could keep him grounded to at least some extent. Every other club would throw money at him to lure him but then not know what to do when he does something silly off the pitch.

    That said i would be amazed if he had a long career at united the way he has been carrying on. I would seriously worry about him when fergie leaves.

    I think most people have it backwards -- bringing Scholes back is a positive sign for Pogba and Morrison, because he's obviously just a temporary solution. If we bought young central midfielders like M'Vila or Eriksen then that would be the worst possible sign for our kids, because they'd block their path for years. At their age, Pogba and Morrison just aren't ready for prime time. Wenger will give 18 year olds a chance in central midfield, but that's why Arsenal has become a glorified academy -- haven't challenged for the title in years.

    if Ando and Cleverly stay fit Scholes will hardly get a look in anyway. I think most of the reason Fergie brought him back was for his influence in the locker room -- our younger lads like Jones have shown signs of straining under the pressure the past few weeks. He's probably still the best possession player in the PL with the except of Modric.

    We're still obviously skins at course -- if we had the funds a club like ours should have, we'd just snap up De Rossi.

    I think the assumption that we're biding time 'til Pogba and Morrison become top draw United players is naive and bollocks

    Neither are ready. They might get 5-10 matches next season. The season after maybe 20-25 games, so they're miles off. And Morrison isn't a midfielder, he plays in the hole, which he can't do because Rooney's there. So he still needs to carve out a role for himself

    And neither of them are the hard tackler cunts we also need

    I see no reason why players like Pogba and Morrison can't make appearances as subs. At least get their feet wet and give them a taste for first team action occasionally. We could have used them in the Newcastle game. We were already getting battered so had nothing to lose from throwing them on and seeing what they could do.

    I don't buy any notion that they're too young for the first team and the only way they will learn the necessary disciplines required to play regularly is to give them the experience. Either that or send them out on loan for a season to another club.

    I think they're being wasted in the reserves. They're too good for that.

    The occasional appearance is no good to these players... if they are on the verge of making the step up, then they need to be pushed hard on a regular basis against quality opposition.
