Potentially I'd say, he has never shown so much as that. He scores all types of goals apparently but that's still one every 4 appearances. While Hernandez may not be as tactically versatile, I still feel he gets the best out of Rooney, with his darting runs in and between defenders freeing up Space for Rooney. Hernandez who plays for Mexico is a much more creative player with less of an onus to play on the last man.
This is not Van Nistelrooy v Henry
Hernandez is far far superior at this stage.

The choice between Hernandez and Welbeck is a real one. It's amazing that we're talking about Hernandez as being "proven" already. But look at Welbeck so far this season: 4 starts, 4 goals, 1 assist. And the lad's only 19. Plus he got 2 goals against Basel without Rooney in the side, and I don't think Hernandez usually performs as well as normal without Rooney.
Nice situation we're in though -- with Roo, Welbeck, and Hernandez, we have three in-form strikers that look like scoring every time they get the ball.
Pity the defending's shite.

I stand 100% by my statement that all or most of our young defenders (Jones, Smalling, Evans, the twins) are better than Arsenal's first choice back four. again, same old parochial nonsense. is it about POTY - fuck you up the arse is it. it's as much about the resources around you. so ruud gets fucked out for 10m, and off the bench in first season wins the league and golden boot equivilent in sp, next season gets injured, still wins the league equalling hugo sanchesz 7 goal scoring streak. so that is three golden boots in three, eri, epl, la liga still one of greatest CL scorers of alls times of all times
