How do you rate our chances Knobby?
Can't say I'm very confident.
well we're managed by pearce
Right...
A lot of people go on about Cleverly... and Ferguson even said he was "very special"... I just don't see it.
Not saying he's no good... he looks decent enough... but I really don't see what all the fuss is about...
"Very special" I don't know, but I do think he's looked good from the limited amount I got to actually see him in action last season. I'm not saying he'll be a big star, but he looks to me like if he stays fit he'll be a very handy guy to have in the squad. Tidy passer, good awareness, likes to take the ball forward ... he seems very polished to me, even if there's none of the famous "x factor".
Just a decent Prem quality midfielder, no more no less. He's overhyped because of a lack of options. For me he's no Scholes, more like a Neil Webb that tackles.
Heh, The Fail never lets us down http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2179523/London-2012-Olympics-Fury-Welsh-Scots-snub-National-Anthem.html
What twats... The Scottish and the Welsh not singing the English national anthem. I'm engulfed in outrage.
Bah... how many English lads didn't sing?
I won't sing it... I fuckin hate it... it's an embarrassing anthem.
Anybody watching the opening ceremony?
I enjoyed the industrial drum bit, was surprisingly dark
Child catcher on skates, class
Amazing opening ceremony. History lesson right there. Beats the fireworks and gymnastics bullshit that you normally see.
It has been a really good opening ceremony. I thought it was a brilliant idea to use Rowan Atkinson for that Chariots of Fire sequence. I thought it was funny.

Yep. He did his Mr Bean thing and i just cracked up. Brilliant. The musical history was also excellent. Just mind blowing choreography. Top notch ceremony.

Edit - The Queen looks so bored. Grumpy idiot.
FFS... what did they wheel out Ali for?
Poor fucker's little more than a cabbage now.
Well... that was pretty good. Danny Boyle was a good choice. We had class, labour, industry, engineering, wealth, literature, humour, TV, film... And a shitload of time dedicated to music, subculture and fashion, which was good. Some actual cool bands n all like The Jam, Bowie, and the Arctic Monkeys - not the usual fucking soft safe shite like Take That. I can see why some foreign people are saying it went over their heads.
Nice to see the great British tradition of kettling innocent people on display outside the ground n all
Olympics opening ceremony was 'multicultural crap', Tory MP tweets

I think it was OK, not great... but topping the spectacle that only the Chinese machine could put on was always going to be impossible... and most of the international opinion seems to recognise that... most were positive... some didn't like it... can't please everyone...
... but this was pissy as fuck...
... Zimbabwean journalist Ranga Mberi tweeted:"#OpeningCeremony segment supposedly showing the people who built modern Britain. But I don't see many immigrants. OK Britain, we see you flaunting your history. Where's the bit in which you invade, loot, kill and plunder?"
What an asshole.
I don't mind admitting that, in hindsight, I shouldn't have voted for them. I shouldn't have voted for anyone to be fair. Labour would not have been much different. This country's in an even deeper economic shit than before and nobody has a bloody clue how to get us out of it. Cameron and Osborne are absolutely useless.

yeah i read that. I'm as cynical as they come and also from a previously "looted" country but FFS that opening ceremony is about celebration. That dude is just been a spiteful cunt.
Sheesh - problem with not voting is that it isn't a political expression. Voting levels are already fairly apathetic and it runs the risk of people like Galloway getting in and taking advantage of low turn outs.
As for the Zimbabwean, I don't blame him. With Mugabe's hand so far up his ass I'm surprised he can function at all, they never miss an opportunity to have a dig at the UK. Remember last years riots when they called for UN support for the rioters against the oppressive government. It would almost be funny if you didn't feel sorry for how the Zibabweans have to live.

That's bollocks... not voting is a very political expression... and anyone that says, "if you don't vote, then you've no right to complain", can kiss my ass... there isn't a single candidate worth voting for, and even if there was, he'd have no chance of winning for that very reason, and even if he did win, he'd learn very quickly that he has no real authority to make meaningful change, and if he did try to change things for the better, he'd be dead inside 6 months.
Not voting and living the life of an anarchist, is the best political expression.

There it is, at last. To be fair you're not a Tory. You're one of those floating voters that politicians clamour over, who ultimately determine elections, who have policy directed at them (fucking chavs etc.) and who can be influenced by rhetoric and bullshit. They needed you to enact their raft of ideological cuts, which they have done quite well. And now they're showing signs of actually spending to get us out of debt because they want reelecting. But the damage has been done.

That's the kind of state approved bullshit I would expect to hear from a fan of suburban benders Minus The Bear
'Vote for the main parties otherwise the dangerous fringe parties will get in' - only the fringe fascist parties pose more of a risk and a danger than the Labour and Tory parties with their erosion of liberties, class wars, illegal wars etc.
