Could do with VDS back too.
Steve Bruce ain't doing anything at the mo either.

Hazard's agent is pimping him out big time. I have to say I think Hazard looks ace, he'd be my top choice for the left wing, and he'd be the closest thing we could get to a proper Ronaldo replacement.
Is it too much to hope for this in the summer:
Hazard -- probably £30M or more, offers proper left-side width and as many goals and assists as Nani on the right
De Rossi -- no transfer fee, but very high wages, but we could afford the wages with all the senior players who've gone in the past 12 months and with the departure of Berbatov, who must be earning decent money.
hazard on his way to chelsea for 28 million. deal nearly complete i think.
That young lad at Blackburn called Hoilett looks a decent prospect. he's out of contract in he summer too. Not sure if he's United class but his free price tag puts him the bracket of targets that will look appealing to those that control the purse strings.

Hazard - he's a right-footed winger just like the other right-footed wingers we already have - albeit a classy upgrade. I can't see us signing him, unless Nani's off, or we're considering playing him centrally. Ultimately, this player's transfer will become a bidding war, which we frequently run away from these days.
I think United's business between now and next season will be more like:
IN
Nathaniel Clyne - Free
Young defensive midfielder - circa £15-20M
Young striker/forward (preferably left footed) - circa £15-20M
Pogba and Morrison re-sign
Giggs and Scholes re-sign
OUT
Berba
Owen
Diouf
TK
Bebe
As for realistic targets, probably best to look at good players with only one year left on their contract this summer. Wouldn't be surprised if Fergie made an enquiry/offer for Van Persie.

Chumpski and Real Madreeed are both interested in Hazard... that rules us out. DeRossi will go to the Bitters.
And as far as getting players like Berbatov and Gibson off the books... that's just wage reduction... not clearing for new signings...
Out of the Champs league prize money... I think the Glazers are trying to make up the loss.
We will sign no one.
I don't think we will even make any signings in the summer... none.
Giggs is looking at another year... Fergie thinks Scholes has got another year in him... Cleverly, Young and Anderson have hardly featured... Welbeck and Chico will fight it out to play with Rooney... and our defense is sorted.
We will finish top 3, probably 2nd... that will be considered a good season, and the Champs league was just an off year.
All things considered, Fergie/Gill and the Glazers will tell us that we're right in the thick of it, and no need to spend just for the sake of it.
I suppose this makes me sound like greedy, entitled, transfer-rumour-addict rich-club supporter, but one of the worst things about the Glazer era is just how fucking boring transfer windows have become. I great each window with zero expectations, and tbf to the club these days, it's pretty consistent in meeting my expectations.
I mean players like Jones and De Gea have the potential to be brilliant, that's great, but it would nice some time to buy a player over the age of 24 who's not just going to be a squad player.
new contracts are the new new signings
Yesterday Sneijder was 15/8 to join United.
Today... 5/1
Tomorrow... better odds to sign Messi.
Morrison to Roma is 4/1...
yep...strong rumour that one
what's happening with welbeck, apparently we've offered him less than we gave gibson
I hope he's not dropped for arsenal
we've offered him less than jones and smalling.....a little bit more than cleverley
fergie will drop him, and say his agents trying to get him a move
And why?
Do you think Ferguson gives a fuck how much they earn?
Glazers!
United in talks to sign Crystal Palace defender, Nathaniel Clyne, for £3 million:
Whilst we're not signing midfielders, I think United could also do with a left-back who actually knows how to defend. A bit of competition for Evra would be healthy.
Whilst a striker isn't a priority, i'd have a go for Van Persie in the summer. Only 1 year on his contract and he's clearly unhappy at Arsenal. He'd be absolutely dynamite with Rooney, not to mention the supply he'd get from Nani and Tony V. He'll probably end up at City though.
I don't think he'd leave Arsenal for another English team.
Whilst I know where you're coming from Alf, I think he might be tempted. If he moves in the summer it'd probably be his last big move (in fact it'd be his only one in a financial sense). He'd have to think about things a little selfishly given his relative lack of trophies and financial rewards given Arsenal's pay structure. There aren't many clubs who'd be able to compete in terms of the salary package we'd be able to offer. City could obviously and if he were available then there's no doubt they'd be in for him. But I think RVP has a little more integrity from a footballing perspective than the likes of Nasri. Real don't need him, nor do Barca. He might like the idea of staying in the UK.
Five years ago maybe... but it's not just the Bitters who pay better wages... he could get more money from a dozen other clubs now... and not just the fantasy money from PSG, Russia, China etc... both Milan clubs would pay more, so would Bayern, Barca, Real, Chelsea...
if he leaves wenger will go and arsenal will enter the wilderness
hopefully we then get jack
I think Van Persie would be a cracking signing if we were to go for a him. Shame we didn't sign him in 2004 or whenever it was that Arsenal got him (for £2.75 million according to Wikipedia
).
Fergie said this the other day:
"I remember going to see Van Persie play for Feyenoord reserves, way, way back," Ferguson told skysports.com.
"We were definitely interested, but the day we went to see him he didn't play the full game.
"He was either sent off or he walked off, I can't remember which. We ended up leaving it, we didn't make a move for him.
"I don't think we saw enough of him to make a decision, whereas Arsenal were much closer to the situation at the time and they eventually got themselves a terrific player."
What a shame.
But he's always injured
This must be the longest he has gone without getting keeling over
Yeah, and look at the stats he's piling up.
Terrific player, but he's 28 already, and I think this is only the second time he's managed to start in more than half of Arsenal's league games, and he's been with them a good few years. For the money he'd command, he'd probably be a terrible investment, unless his fitness record completely changes in his latter years, which seems very unlikely.
I'd rather we got a Ronaldo/Nani-style goal threat for the left wing, a job that Bale and Hazard look ideal but prohibitively expensive for. Not only do they add goals of their own, but they'd distract defenders from Roo.
