It’s every customer’s choice whether to offer or withhold business. After all the customer is always right. Manchester United is no different and for those fans not willing to line the Glazer family’s pockets any more than they have to there is an alternative shirt or few. I would also add to that list – The embroidered badge shirts from Red News. Great shirts that celebrate three european cup wins – The three stars on the shirt actually have significance unlike the berties effort. I think they go for about 18pounds or so and there were a good handful in evidence in toronto on Friday night.

Mate now your just being stupid, every1 should get the new utd shirt and wear it proudly, support the team and Sir Alex by sporting the colors of utd with pride. You really got cut it out, yea the Glazer fam owns us but the cash goes to the club itself, sure they take some out 4 the debt but what you expect, its their only option till they get somethink together to pay it off completely. Advise ppl buy elsewhere is wrong, no1 should advise others 2help increase worries, we are manchester and 2g4 we stand.

If you want to help fund the Glazers that’s fine – your money will go to fund them, not the team. The notion that spending money on United is somehow helping the club is naive. But please don’t tell me what I can or cannot say on this site.

You are aware those people (m.u.s.t) were in favor of another leverage take over with those skintknights who broke every promise they made b4 it was revealed not only couldnt they afford the club, but they not the money to run it and wanted keep the debt around, knights only want get their hands into utds pockets, skintknights are just an english version of glazers and publicity hunters backed them, embarrassing. Well I don’t speak for any of those people you mention but helps if you get some facts straight because you’re quite wrong. Not the first time I might add AJ, AS or whatever you’re calling yourself today.

Firstly, no bid was made so you’re basing that diatribe on nothing but your own misguided assumptions or newspaper talk. Second, as I understand no leverage was included in any potential bid. Retaining the bond – as would almost certainly happen – would have been an economic reality as redemption costs 121% but that’s not “leverage”. Billionaires “from the eastern world” will do the same. Do some research, it helps.

Your naivety would be touching is it wasn’t so far off the mark. The Glazers work WITH debt — they don’t need to pay it off as long as other people like you keep lending them more. Look at Glazer’s house ans see what you’re knocking yourself out working for. Get real FFS.

If we’re hurting then it aint having an impact on the field, in last 5yrz we been lge©s 3x’s, r’up twice, 2 ©lge finals would of 3 if not 4 ref, 3 cc finals, an fa cup final, we’re contesting the c.shield and club world cup and have spent £174m on players (£167m have come in from player sales, omg lol) we have remained the elite force…..dont fault me for not wanting be part of this war, i want again make clear i hadnt an issue with your articles, there just times i disagree, its how i am.

Wouldn’t surprise me if all the interns at MUFC are being instructed to go all over the web and try and convince people the Glazers aren’t really killing our club. I havent spent one dollar or pound on anything that could help the glazers, and i will proudly wear the shirt of United, just not one that will help the Glazers. The reason why we saw the success on-field for the past few years was due mainly to players bought before the Glazer takeover .The success was because of SAF and his coaching staff, not because of the Glazers.

ED …Very good note of yours at 1:14 a.m..Reading around the different blogs, I see some people are claiming those fans who dont buy tickets,merchandise etc are damaging the club.At the same time, they claim that the Man Utd “brand” would easily be sold to a Chinese or Arab billionaire (even with all of the debt) and so we shouldnt concern ourselves thinking about the debt issue..Perhaps our lack of transfer spending might wake a few ppl up..I might add that Ive supported the club since the mid-70s and yes, I remember those “you will never win the league days”. .Also ,I respect the different opinions of others even if I dont agree with them…

The money will fund the club and the Glazers. No United WANTS to help the Glazers but no United fan should do anything that removes revenue from the club itself whether it hurts the Glazers or not. I would support any move to remove them and replace them with a much more stable option. Till then, you have your methods of protest and we have ours.

My understanding is that united already have the sponsorship money from Nike for the shirt deal and that the vast majority of the money raised in shirt sales goes directly to them, not the club. Don’t get me wrong, tthe club will sttill make a small profit on all merchandise sold, but the horse has bolted on this one.

Your “understanding” – very tabloid speak – is correct. £313 million deal with Nike was sold some time ago so only a percentage of sales goes directly to United. This is not atypical in the football market, although United’s deal is considerably larger than most clubs. It’s not just about cash on this one though, it’s also about not buying a shirt that represents the Glazers and their corporate sponsors.
