I was actually intending to post an update this morning so your question is timely.

After a few weeks of wondering what the fuck was going on, my postal vote arrived yesterday and i'll be sending it off today
I may be able to fix a forum but I can't fix a fuckwit

One of the architects of neolib ideology and critics of Corbyn speaks out against it and praise Corbyn

I told you this before when I posted links that show half of the "the city" aka the money now back labour and their spending plans because it's the only way to keep capitalism going

They're realising that an ideology that destroys vital services and drives down wages to were workers can't afford to buy the shit they produce, or pay rent or buy a house etc is ruinous. And the only way to preserve capitalism and sell it this generation & the next (who now prefer socialism) is to invest in services, infrastructure, and put more money in their pockets

A sea change is coming, like Brown says. If not now with Corbyn then in 5/10 years. Cos to put it simply, we can't all get mortgages, pay british gas, TV, internet, run a car etc when we're on temp zero hour contracts with no bus services or health service to keep us alive

I wouldn't normally divulge who I voted for Sid but as you asked, and as I have a really strong view on the subject, I'll tell you.
Despite there being serious problems with the EU as a political project, I am nonetheless a very committed European. I live in Germany, married a German, speak German fluently [as well as pretty good Spanish] and believe we are stronger together.
I am dead against what the Brexit headbangers who are now in control of the Tories are doing; it will harm the country I love and ultimately lead to Scottish independence and put Irish unification on the agenda.
The Labour Party's manifesto has much to commend it but the nationalisation plans are totally incompatible with remaining in the EU. They can only be delivered the other side of Brexit. Thus for all his talk of being impartial in a second referendum Corbyn is, imho, a closet Brexiteer.
My own preference would have been for the UK to stay in the EU and for Britain to be a strong voice in reforming it.
Despite being a life long Labour voter I have voted with my conscience and cast my vote for the Lib Dems because they most closely represent what I feel is in the UK's best interests [and Europe's for that matter]. It is almost certainly a wasted vote in the sense that my constituency is a pretty strong Labour one. But my consolation is that no vote is really wasted if it is cast in honesty.
There you go...cue abuse...
And...are you going to vote Sid?

I understand that reasoning and I aren't gonna have a go... But this is what I don't get, how is voting lib dem aka for private healthcare, tuition fees, privatisation, higher transport costs etc the best for britain? It's clearly not. It's fucking over everyone that can't afford private healthcare, to be unemployed etc. An intelligent person like you must see that?

So it just comes across as an excuse to make a selfish decision, to vote for tory policies that benefit you and nobody else

Yeah I did vote. Had to be for the local labour shithouse whose a tory in disguise and having to back socialist policies so they don't get the boot. There's no choice tbf. People are terrified at the thought of more austerity.

Jo Swinson's voting record is more right wing than a lot of tories (voted for tory welfare cuts, austerity, tuition fees, privatising the NHS etc)

These days liberals get away with shit Thatcher couldn't, because we've swung so far right

Are you lib dem voters fine with that? You're fucked up if so
