I don’t think we’re ever going to win anything (meaning Pl or CL) under the Glazers. It’s just never going to happen. They just look at the club in a completely different way to the supporters, but it’s them who gets to make the big decisions. Ferguson and Gil worked wonders, but the fucking Glazers wouldn’t have hired them if they hadn’t already been in the job. All the journalists seem to agree that the Glazers couldn’t wait for Ferguson to retire, because he had too much power. Imagine that. They don’t know the first thing about the sport or give a fuck about it.

Ole has never been qualified for the job. He has the job for totally different reasons than most supporters would hope are the main factors considering a manager. Ole gets more social media posts than some rising star manager from Germany/Holland/Spain/wherever would, so that’s all they care about. For the Glazers, signing Ronaldo again is the business equivalent of winning the CL. So why would they care about trying to actually win the CL?

We’re fucked.

Yeah I can believe it. It's evident in the way Ed & co removed all trace of the last regime. As Evra said, they didn't even consult Fergie or any of the others, they were very much 'we run things our way now' - and it's been a complete disaster on the football front, and not great on the commercial front either as our rivals catch us up.

The one time they did refer to Fergie was to get the Ronaldo deal done (as Ron said "this one's for you Sir Alex") cos that deal makes commercial sense.

to be fair, with those sorts of readies at their disposal you'd think they could afford to look a bit less like the spawn of satan

You've got to hand it to them, really good bit of business lining their pockets just before the price.

Any indication who bought the shares?

Probably some computer running by itself because it’s noticed that United shares tend to have sudden jumps up and down, so there’s money to be made. It doesn’t have to know or care about football. I envy it.
