Most excited transfer in a long long time. Jose needs to build the team around him!

Massively impressed by this. Don't give a fuck about the price - he's the perfect signing for a problematic position.

Ferguson must be feeling a massive cunt about this.

Exactly, who gives a fuck about the price we paid for him. The haters will be making a big deal about how we've paid world record money for a 23 year old to come back to United, a 23 year old who is still developing. If this had been Real, there would be congratulations instead. It's about time United showed intent again.

It seems as if the lad wanted to come back to United, regardless of the fee, which doesn't concern him. A huge contributor to him coming back is Mourinho and his plans for the team, without him I don't think we would have attracted any of the players that we have signed.

All we need now is for Ravel Morrison to grow the fuck up, start playing to his potential and we break the world record to bring him back!

Fabulous , Marvelous

Back to exciting times again, will turn out perhaps to be a bargain at £89m
Fuck- I'm sure he'll recoup half that in the first few weeks like Beckham going to Real....

Massive kudo's to Woody and Jose- they have got the job done and with a week to spare before start of season- awesome business
Sure even the Bale saga meant Real had to wait right to the end of the transfer window..

This is the kind of signing Man Utd should be doing...we should neve have stopped buying quality...too many squaddies and not enough world class players

So....thanks to Jose we now have DDG, Pogba, Zlatan, Scrabble and Bailly...that's the whole spine of the team potentially world class

I'm happy

Yeah we probably went out and got the best available players in each of the four problem positions, it's very impressive. None were bargains, but we got our business done early and efficiently. Despite the size of the deal and the Euro competition, we still got Pogba in before the start of the league season.

The target should be winning the league now, the pressure's on Jose. But the players we had were already better than they looked under LVG, plus 4 great signings, it's very exciting. We should expect goals galore with this lot. Pogba feeding the likes of Ibra, Martial, Rashford, maybe a rejuvenated Rooney? Fuck off world!

It's an exciting time to be a united fan, for sure.

I liked Jose's comment about how he sees Pogba as being at the club for at least the next decade.

Sounds like the price was actually a good bit less than reported, which is usually the case with United. Juventus issued a statement saying they made €73M on Pogba, so there it is from the horse's mouth. The are some people saying that they ate Raiola's fee. But a fifth of 73M is 14.6, so basically the most we paid is about €88M. That's a lot of cash, but you can be sure that the BBC will soon be reporting we spent £120M or more...

What's the source?
The link I posted earlier from the Juve website says they made €105m + €5m in potential addons.

Here it is again.

bman's quoting the official statement they released (it's linked within the page you linked) that says "The economic effect is positive for about € 72.6 million, net of solidarity subsidy and auxiliary expenses"

He looks genuinely happy about the move, i haven't seen a player look happier.
