If it’s true Woodward is not taking advice on football matters and is still presiding over transfer moves, with or without a DoF. We really are fucked!
Why does the half wit think he has an iota of a clue about anything to do with football? He should keep to the business side completely.
Already we’re behind in any transfer dealings because he has no plan and no idea. Watch for the ‘big’ signing in about a months time whilst the old dross will still be here.

Agreed. The actual football is irrelevant at this point. It's a mere consequence of who wins the tussle between the Glazers / Ed and the football men. If Ed won't learn from his mistakes after 7 years of shit, or listen to the greatest manager ever, then we're fucked.

We're a fundamentally broken organisation. As a football club, the most important role really should be the Technical Director/DOF role. And we're looking to give it to someone who's never done it before, seemingly on the basis of having played for the club.

It'd be akin to making Lewis Hamilton CEO of Mercedes because the cunt can race cars well.

Another one to file under "United is a fucking joke of a club"

Might as well accept now that the summer will be a bust and so will next season. Nothing is going to change until there's a major change, probably a change of ownership. The steady deterioration and decline continues, because fundamentally the club is owned by a weird clan of twats across the atlantic who don't even care about football, let alone this particular club.

This summer is huge for the club. If we don't nail it, we could fall irreparably behind for 10-15 years+.

I'd been willing to give the club at least a small benefit of doubt, but I have very, very little hope that things will be put right. We mess up at every turn - Appointing Solskjaer permanently when we did, not making a change this summer, the DoF approach, players we keep, players we allow to go, players we don't sign, the image of the club as its played out in the media, our playing style. Everything is fucked, and it won't be put right under these owners.

The growth of United particularly the groundbreaking commercial growth from the 90s to now put us on the radar of these vulture capitalist shitheads who're out to get rich off the back of the club. In that sense we're a victim of our own success. It was alright while the old infrastructure was in place, with the greatest manager ever at the helm like, but once that went we had no chance. They had to be stopped in 2005, that was the start of the end.

I don't get this tbh. We binned off the apparently entrenched & restrictive United culture / philosophy with Gaal who played modern pressing possession football and the Bus Driver who played cowardly long ball shit. You could even argue any notion of United's philosophy died during the "no value" era.

The recent nostalia fest is a new thing, thanks to a reactionary populist decision made by a ceo whose copping immense amounts of flak after 7 years of shite.

Should have just hired Poch and that DoF recommended by Ferguson who did the job at Leicester and now Everton. Beginning of a whole new era, led by proven people of the right age. Leicester made brilliant value signings during his time, and Everton seem to be getting pretty savvy in that respect too. We must be practically the only club left arsing about with an amateurish approach. Wolves and Leicester are catching us on the cheap (and Leicester won the title!), Spurs have shot past us on the cheap, and the likes of Liverpool and City are disappearing over the horizon because they've combined a professional approach to transfers with big wads of cash.
