Doesn't look like the PE teacher is going anywhere anytime soon.
OGS.....
With those attackers, and that midfield, we should at least be up there and competing for the league no doubt(not 20/30 points off the pace as we normal have been). Sure the defence is dodgy, but we have an 80+ CB, a 50+ RB both signed by OGS, and a multitude of options around them.bman2 wrote: ↑2 months agoWe’ve got a huge squad with a lot of expensive players in it now. We really should be competing for the title with this squad. I didn’t quite notice until now just how stacked it is.
Forwards: Cavani, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood, Ighalo, James, the new 18 year olds...
Midfield: Pogba, Bruno, Mata, Van de Beek, Matic, McTominay, Fred, is Pereira still about?
I go through all the defenders. But we’ve a fuck load. Sure there’s a few players you’d like here or there. Another quality forward, a more dynamic DM, and so on. But it’s a hell of a squad, with a lot of options.
At what point will it be decided that Ole is expected to actually compete for silverware? How many more players does he need?
If we win the game in hand, we are only 2 points behind spurs at the top, so if we go on a run, who knows.
Based on the actual squad though, there is no justifiable reason to right off the current team. OGS should not be getting a free pass year on year as its part of the "re-build" phase.
Nothing surprising there, OGS is the dependable option, wont kick up a fuss as its his dream job, he'll never speak out against the upper management.fat maradona wrote: ↑2 months agohttps://www.skysports.com/football/news ... fer-window

From woodward.
"I believe we've delivered on that, with the additions we made during the summer taking our total net spending to over €200m since summer 2019 - more than any other major European club over that period"
This proves nothing other than Woodward consistently overpaying for players, while getting next to nothing in return(or in most cases just not being able to shift players on, as he has signed on giving deadwood 6 year contacts on 150k+ a week), I wouldn't be using it as a marker of the clubs intentions.
Should they just award the title to Jose and Spurs now? Or so you think we should play out the remaining 28 games of the league season? I’m sure you’re right, and that the standings now are the final word on every team and manager. But for appearances’ sake, probably best to see if the remaining three quarters of the season bring any new developments.
Why doesn't this apply when folks here are calling for his head?bman2 wrote: ↑2 months agoShould they just award the title to Jose and Spurs now? Hardly worth praising him, you might as well have thanked West Ham for missing their chances. We should have been 5-0 down at half time and won the game from 15 mins of great football, either side of which West Ham outplayed us. If that's Ole's masterful coaching, god fucking help us. Frankly, we were shite mostly but we are lucky enough to have some very talented players. The same talented players that would achieve a fuck load more under a better, more suitable manager.
