Doesn’t bode well for signing Sancho though does it?

Sancho will be crap as well as far as dozer is concerned, him being a Dortmund player.

Manchester United are redrawing their transfer strategy because of financial uncertainty caused by coronavirus and accept it will leave them unable to buy a striker as expensive as Harry Kane.

The market has dropped for everyone so relatively speaking it shouldn't make a difference for United.
If Harry Kane was "as expensive as" Mbappe for example then he'd still be "as expensive as" Mbappe post Corona. Everyone's budget would go down which means the player's market value would go down.
The Guardian just pretends to be a more sensible paper by removing the flash but I've always felt they write the same old crap. Journalists are crap everywhere and piggy back of the few good ones who do some proper research .
Maybe so, but we aren't signing a top player in summer.

The Prem's financial arrogance is pretty incredible tbh. It's always been wild, but it's even enduring throughout a deadly pandemic that's likely to cause a historic recession or depression.

The riches from the TV deals have made people feel invincible, just like the bankers did pre 2008.

To think it won't impact us, or that we'll even come out of it superior to everyone else, is true fucking madness

I'm not so sure I would want Kane anyway. Would mean moving away from the style of play I still hope we will install.
I'd take Sancho, nqat.

Based on the stats. Most dortmund players are underwhelming elsewhere.

Press over here suggesting we have agreed a deal has been agreed for Sancho...probably bollox though...

If we’re willing to pay pre-corona prices for him they’d be mad not to take it. It’s about survival now, and Dortmund will know that better than most having gone bust not so long ago.

Dortmund are definitely a selling club, so they would take a decent offer.
Dozer won't like it, though...

...only if he brings his umlaut with him.
