This sounds so typically like Madrid... just once I'd love to see a player with some balls, actually come out and put that collection of arseholes in their place... "No offence to Real Madrid fans, but I've no interest in playing for them, and their arsehole president"... yeah, that would make my day, that...

The way things work in Spain though... if he said that, it'd probably cost him his place in the National team...

The Sun are saying he's staying so it must be true. That'll do nicely he's pretty good.

De Gea's been worth a goal per game over this 6 game winning streak. As valuable as the best strikers in the world if he can keep it up.

The fact that his agent (presumably) has been leaking Madrid-wants-De-Gea stories is actually reassuring to me, because if he was actually trying to make that happen, he wouldn't need to talk about it in public. Seems like classic "get the fans to pressure the club into a more generous offer" tactics to me. Agents typically don't leak deals that are actually on.

The other thing that encourages me is how much De Gea celebrated our goals against Pool -- he's emotionally invested.

Probably right... but by then we might have a team that can win without him...
