That's exactly right, unfortunately. Amazing how much De Gea's stock with United supporters has plummeted.

Good bit of business, he's saved our bacon countless times. From busted flush to worlds highest paid keeper. :))

Dean Henderson signs a new 5 year deal. Wages are reportedly 120k a week.

So it looks like he's going to play more than league cup games

If the rumours are true and ddg is on his way out, it just shows once again the lack cohesion between those offering the contracts, and those making footballing decisions. Or it could just be a lack of foresight from all involved.

Make ddg the highest paid gk in the world, and within a year and a half he's deemed surplus to requirements. Couldn't make it up!

Hes still a better keeper than henderson, but he'd have to maintain his level into his mid to late 30s to justify at least not giving henderson a shot at being #1. Who knows ddg could end up like Edwin/buffon playing at top level till he's near 40

The goalkeeping situation is classic Glazer / Ed mismanagement. We've got two keepers on first team wages, one of em is the highest paid keeper in the world. Then there's Romero on big wages cos he was our number 2. But isn't anymore, cos Henderson is, but they still kept him on. Then there's the window fitter Jose signed earning a wage too.

It all amounts to the biggest goalkeeper wage bill in football

And of course they made De Gea the highest paid keeper in the world after he'd been shite for the best part of 18 months
