"Badges, to god-damned hell with badges! We have no badges. In fact, we don't need badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges, you god-damned cabrón and ching' tu madre! Come out from that shit-hole of yours. I have to speak to you."

Yeah, great shame. Looks like it was natural causes too?

what did you think of his music, though, pint? you seem to have a thing for Manchester-based bands and artists over anything else so was the Fall one that you had any interest in?

I've spent literally years looking for a decent copy of live at the witch trials but it's rare as rocking horse shit and costs a fair bit if you can find it at all. not going to get cheaper now.

Each to their own and RIP and all that they were never up there for me , apart from the obvious legends who we adore ,they were some way behind the the charlatans, the doves ,James, 808 .
Apparently he was a real character and even he stated he could clear the boozer . I know he was a rum fucker ,when we saw him out one time we thought he was Alex Higgins.
But more than well respected especially in the music industry and it always helps when they are interesting characters as well.
Unfortunately we are coming to an age when our ' I hate to say heroes' idols ? We loved Bowie too esp having seeing him live many times esp in the early days .
He obviously lived life to the full and he seemed like a guy who give a flying.
Ain't it funny that when someone passes away in the music industry you listen to their music more than when they were alive and then you miss them ,daft.
RIP I know hardly surprising he was a proper socialist although never seen him at a meeting or a rally so massive respect ,though on the contrary I didn't like to hear he sacked members of the band at will.
Can't help your search other than provide you with a link to a retro music shops in town.
