Poch having a bit of a dig at Levy - https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... -job-title

It's a fair point though, if he can't build the squad that he wants/needs, then all he's doing is coaching the players that he does have to be the best that they can be. It's not a dissimilar situation to us tbf, with the Board dictating who is bought, sold, contracts renewed etc and the Manager left to coaching. Except in our situation, Woodward is not as good as Levy and Ole isn't as good as Poch.

Poch could be at Real in jan / next summer. Doesn't look like Zidane will last long.

It's not impossible that the board gave Ole his permanent contract when they did because Poch indicated he wanted to stay at Spurs. Ole's not a big outlay, relatively speaking, the board might still look at him as somewhat temporary. If he works out great, then all well and good, but it won't be a huge Jose-style payout if they switch to Poch.

The way City were plainly holding out for Guardiola for a season or two could be a precedent.

I'm not crediting Woodward and the board with great football acumen -- clearly a key element of Poch's appeal is that he has proven at Spurs that he can deliver top 4 and decent CL runs consistently, on the cheap. The club will want a Ferguson 2.0 who delivers "top club" results without the expense of top clubs like City, Barca, etc.

Why don't some of you switch to the team Poch manages , sure we haven't won anything for years so what does it matter? Besides it obvious Ole is a joke and Poch is better........
