Team selection will be interesting. You'd think he'll make changes with the busy Xmas schedule. Lukaku could come back in - can he play in a faster, more technical setup? I'd question it, but then - he looks a better player for Belgium, so maybe he can. I'd like to see a bit if game time for the likes of Perreira, Gomes, Greenwood and Chong, over the next few weeks too.

The amount of chances we're creating should benefit Lukaku tbf. The quality players like Pog and Martial can lay it on a plate for him.

It would be ace to see Gomes again. Another 10/15 min cameo would be class. His technique is already better than most of the senior players.

The key with Lukaku is telling the cunt not to try and play football. He can’t play with his back to goal - running the channels and getting in the box is what he needs to focus on. Let the rest play the football.

With the whole team playing 15-20 yards higher up, he should benefit - but Sanchez should be the one who could really flourish. A front 3 of Martial, Rashford and Sanchez, fed by Pogba, could be dynamite.

Why was Martial not in the squad after being so good in the first match? Just rotation?

Martial - Rash - Lingard looked the front three to default to, others should have to make a case for starting ahead of them, no matter how much they cost or get paid.

Martial was ill.

Just waiting for Matic to be dropped, or even rested.

Yeah Matic really stood out against Huddersfield as a Jose giraffe cunt. He's not suited to playing a high press or quick attacking football. And he doesn't like mixing it against teams that press him. He prefers to sit deep where he can see the play in front of him, then distribute the ball sideways when we win it back.
