It makes no difference who the manager is or which players we put on the pitch, as long and the Glazers are the owners and the club is run as a profit machine first and foremost, we will be also rans at best. When the contracts for major sponsors need to be renewed, we might see lip service paid to improving the club and regaining the days of greatness, but realistically while the club is making money hand over fist the performance on the pitch is of little or no importance to the owners.
I'm afraid you're right but it's either hope or give up watching football..... Anyway i'm up for another season of bitchin and whining, hope your sticking around for the ride.RedDevilinAZ wrote: ↑4 years ago It makes no difference who the manager is or which players we put on the pitch, as long and the Glazers are the owners and the club is run as a profit machine first and foremost, we will be also rans at best. hes publically backed em continuously, having previously backed shareholders utd and must and the other twats, so he’s fair game for stick for the shite season we’re about to have tbf, him and the gobshite players who are all top players and know what it means to play for the club and they’re great young ladsRedDevilinAZ wrote: ↑4 years ago It makes no difference who the manager is or which players we put on the pitch, as long and the Glazers are the owners and the club is run as a profit machine first and foremost, we will be also rans at best. Fair game for stick so long as you also give the Glazers stick too, as they / parasite capitalism is the root of the problem. But that's not something you've ever done on Rant tbf. You're already doing what they want which is slag Ole.lkhmffsstopmovingabout wrote: ↑4 years agohes publically backed em continuously, having previously backed shareholders utd and must and the other twats, so he’s fair game for stick for the shite season we’re about to have tbf, him and the gobshite players who are all top players and know what it means to play for the club and they’re great young ladsRedDevilinAZ wrote: ↑4 years ago It makes no difference who the manager is or which players we put on the pitch, as long and the Glazers are the owners and the club is run as a profit machine first and foremost, we will be also rans at best. The theft of United by the Glazers was the start a trend in the league that we feel the ramification of today; teams no longer need to win anything in order to make a profit. The television money alone makes the fans almost irrelevant as a revenue source, gate receipts have been outpaced by the sale of scarfs, hats, kit and just about with surface that can have the team logo imprinted on it or at least associated with it. Who know, in. a few years stands full of cheering fans could be replaced by a few lines of code and a slick CGI app.

Probably another reason why weve gone for young British talent and in the case of the big money 2, 'proven' premiership players. They're fairly safe bets so if Ole gets bulletted, the squad doesnt need tearing up any more than it does now. Ole can be the fall guy for the continued failure to strengthen properly, and the new man will be able to use what we've bought in the summer.
Everything we do is short sighted and lacking in proper planning and ambition.
We'll probably have a midfield of McTominay, Lingard and Mata against Chelsea FFS.
