Kane nails one! 2-1 they've played well to pull this game back. Constant pressure.

Tottenham's football isn't as good with Kane up front. I'd start Son ahead of him. It's why they got the CL final.
Getting shut of Kane is the sort of big balls move that fergie was class at. Binned off RvN to pave the way for Rooney/Ronald/Tevez type football. Think we had Saha at the time, but it was a shift towards a different way of playing. And RvN was fucking brilliant.
Aye Fergie wasn't scared of making big decisions to freshen up the attack. It's why we never got found out. Poch needs to do the same for me. This is the 3/4th season they've had the same forward line. They only scored 67 goals last season and lost 13 times.

See how well they're playing now Kane is actually moving out wide. They need his lateral movements to make em more dynamic, or else they become hoofy and struggle to break teams down like they did last season until Son deputised and they looked fucking electric. Kane might have been injured tbf. But he is a bit of a dosser, a dosser that can finish mind.

Liverpool will do well to have as good a season as they did last season. Although I think they'll finish in second place fairly comfortably, I'm not sure they will be quite as consistent this year. They played so well, but still couldn't win the league because of how good City were. It will be difficult to raise themselves to that level again.

City are just a machine.

Good article on City and sportwashing

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foo ... 46866.html

On a side note it also details their approach to recruitment:

The preparations for this summer’s transfer business actually stretch back over 18 months, to Saturday 16 December 2017, on the morning of a match with Tottenham Hotspur. Pep Guardiola was obviously ruminating on the game – a comprehensive 4-1 victory – in that intensely fixated way he does, but the club so sophisticatedly works on so many levels that he also sat in on a high-level meeting with chairman Khaldoon al Mubarak, chief executive Ferran Soriano and director of football Txiki Begiristain to discuss signings right up to this window. The thinking is that all business is based on the medium-term future, so no transfer is borne of panic or mere reaction. It naturally helps minimise mistakes, and has only maximised the evolution of this team.

The idea at the end of that meeting was City would by now likely need another centre-half, another forward and definitely another number-six to succeed Fernandinho. The club went through their typically meticulous recruitment process and eventually came to Rodri. He is a player that, as the Community Shield already confirmed, just fits.

We're really far behind them as an organisation, it's embarrassing.

Arsenal's Dani Ceballos is class at playing in midfield under pressure. We need a cunt like that.
