Rant Cast 361 – Mourinho’s pathetic-ball

There have been some bad performances at Anfield over the years, but few where United were so thoroughly dominated. Humiliated even. José Mourinho set United up to come away with a scoreless draw. Instead, Liverpool took 36 shots to United’s six. Just one barometer of how completely Mourinho has failed at the club. It is surely time for the manager to go.

On this week’s pod, Ed & Paul discuss all the fallout from United’s defeat to Liverpool. It is a result that leaves the club 12 points away from Champions League qualification and 19 off the top. The worst season since 1990. There’s a preview of upcoming games against Cardiff and Huddersfield and a look ahead to United’s Champions League fixtures with PSG.

For backers, a discussion of some of the best kids movies. Because fun.

Sorry everyone. That’s all I’m saying. 😂

Unless you and Ed suddenly did a 180 and started preaching Mouball, there’s nothing to apologize for. At least for me listening to the Rantcast is extremely cathartic, because there simply is very little to be excited about at the moment. Of course I also realize that this may not, strictly speaking, be healthy but hey. It’s this or heavy drinking.

#joseisout is this still relevant now or do you need to re-record it?!

Paul Ansorge - December 18, 2018 Reply

Daz Greer definitely need to record a new one! Gonna do that today

Paul Ansorge Feel free to rant for an hour about Jose’s shortcomings. Your pod is probably the only thing I enjoy about Man United at the moment. Well, maybe Dave as well

Paul Ansorge - December 18, 2018 Reply

Nicholas Quinn ha we did that on this episode – but chucked in another 20 mins in the one we just recorded for good measure.

This one has probably dated faster than any in history!

Chris Elliot - December 18, 2018 Reply

It’s out of date already

Paul Ansorge - December 18, 2018 Reply

Never been happier!

Chris Elliot - December 18, 2018 Reply

Paul Ansorge didn’t expect it this early in the season. I saw the breaking news banner on SSN and joking shouted “Mourinho’s been sacked”. I was so surprised to know I was right

Reddy Aunott - December 18, 2018 Reply

Is that a toxic cloud I see being swept away from Old Trafford?

Stu Robinson - December 18, 2018 Reply

Oh! Topical

Paul Ansorge - December 18, 2018 Reply

Another one coming!

Neil Richards - December 18, 2018 Reply

I did tweet yesterday requesting Jose be sacked and am so pleased that the Glaziers read and acted on my tweet. Hope they now get rid of Woodward.
