Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III
A mate of mine knows a guy who bumped into Moyes on the train yesterday. He's mega pissed off about LVG and 4-3-3, as he was planning on moving this season to 4-3-3 anyway. Thinks his players just didn't take their defensive duties seriously enough and his new first choice line up was going to be De...

Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III
Welbeck is an ideal squad player but if he really wants to be 'the man' up top he needs to join Newcastle or Southampton. He would probably play no more than at United if he goes to Spurs - they have Soldado, Adebayor and Kane already for that role. Guess Pochettino could go with 2 up and to a diam...

Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III
I wouldn't rule out LVG giving the wig a shot at central defence. He tried something similar at Bayern with Timoschtschuk. Didn't work though.....lkhmffsstopmovingabout wrote:welbeck will be fine, its dross like fellaini and valencia that theres not been enough speculation about

Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III
I think he is United quality. He's strong, fast, skilful. He needs to trust his instincts more in front of goal. When he has time to think about a finish, he can panic - as he did against Bayern - but when he just has to hit it, he's bloody brilliant - see his goals for England, his chip against Sw...

Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III
If we play a 4-3-3, I think Rooney is more likely to be part of a midfield 3 than the front 3. He doesn't fit the mould of the wide man that Van Gaal typically goes for, from what I understand. RVP will be his front man. I think a deeper role is in what lies ahead for Wayne. Agree totally, plus hav...

Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III
My Bayern mates over here (southern Germany) are all busy trying to talk down Tony Kroos' value to Bayern, which as a sure sign they are resigned to losing him to us. I've watched him play a fair bit this season and, for what it's worth, I think he's been Bayern's most improved player this season. A...

Howdy!
I still can't get why we splashed out £37M for a Chelsea reject, who we can only fit in by playing him out of position.
