Given that Covid isn’t going anywhere, I think occasional match cancellations are going to become a feature of the season, and we’re just going to have live with it.
Well it sounds like the Omicron variant doesn't give a shit about vaccines or anything else. So it's spreading like mad. On the other hand, it seems like vaccines still give good protection against getting seriously sick from it. So we might be getting to the stage where infections aren't that a big deal anymore. Except for an unlucky few, of course.

It's shit for the clubs that get hit with covid. Spurs might have to play a must win Europa game on Thursday with a skeleton squad cos the rules say you have to play unless you've got less than 13 players or no keeper.
Hopefully we don't find ourselves in that situation in the CL.

Kovacic tests positive and will miss 3 games. The players should probably be in bubbles again to protect them. Imagine if we lost Ron.

Hopefully tomorrow's game will go ahead, but this is not a good sign.

I don't think tomorrows game is at risk, it sounds like its only a couple of cases, whereas Spurs have had a complete breakout, something like 8 players plus last I heard.
Also think it would have been called off by now if it was going to happen, but its an ominous sign of what could come.

They should probably stop football. The players, staff, workers at the ground etc are all helping spread this new varient - and for what, to play football, or rather give the broadcasters and sponsors their product. It'd be fucking shit because xmas football is class. But rather that than covid.
