That's horrendous. I read long covid is caused by your immune system going into overdrive so anyone can get it regardless of age and health. Newcastle's Allan Saint-Maximin has got it bad. Quite a few big clubs were looking at signing him, but not now, not unless there's a way of fully recovering?bman2 wrote: ↑3 years agoYeah, it's only a matter of time really. Long covid is scary. Someone I know (but not very well) got covid back in March and she's still using a cane to help herself walk. Mid-30s, in decent shape, no health problems before. Just crap luck I suppose. That said, there's a difference between a virus lingering with you for some months and having it permanently. The real danger is permanent lung damage etc.
The rate it's going around at the moment, you have to wonder if the league can continue. Does this mean City is out of action for two weeks?
Imagine if Fernandes got it. Obviously it'd be the last thing on his mind, but United would be fucked. Not just our season but the next 5 years. They should really stop the season cos squads are coming down with it despite the restrictions, so they're clearly not working.
