The sense i got from that intvw is that transfer targets ahve been identified and they are working on it, unlike lvg's claim that he needs to wait 3-4 weeks
The question now is whether Woodward has the ability to pull it off or is his chain being yanked around like last year...

Mats Hummels will become a new player of Manchester United if the negotiations that the 'Red Devils' have with the Borussia Dortmund do not give a twist. The agreement between the two clubs is near closed $ 20 million and the announcement of the transfer was made official throughout this week.
The proposal presented by the English club meets economic expectations of the Germans. Evidence that the output is very close Hummels Borussia is already secured the services of a German central young Matthias Ginter, who last season played in the ranks of Freiburg. True to the policy of the last few seasons, the German team coach, Jürgen Klopp, has decided to go for a young talent 19 years.
The good World Cup in Brazil completed by Hummels has not gone unnoticed in the eyes of Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal, who has firmly decided to go for a center with extensive international experience in both the Champions League and with his selection despite have only 25.
Hummels will become the tenth reinforcing the 'Red Devils', who have already secured the services of Ander Herrera (Athletic), Luke Shaw (Southampton), Anderson (Fiorentina), Vermijil (NEC Nijmegen), Henríquez (Zaragoza) Lingard (Brighton), Zada (Cardiff), Powell (Wigan) and Baby (Pacos de Ferreira), although the latter three have entered the list of discards that facilitated the former Netherlands coach upon arrival at Old Trafford. Hummels will become a key part of the defense.
My sense is that the deals being pursued at the moment are Hummels, Vidal, Cuadrado, and maybe de Vrij as a substitute or even in addition to Hummels. There might also be something to the Daly Blind rumours, as the new John O'Shea utility man type. Carrick being out for several months is a huge loss for LVG, as he was the one midfielder of quality already at the club who is a perfect choice to sit at the base of the midfield three that he prefers. At his age, he might not come back from the injury the same player. I'm sure we'll make a big push for Strootman in Jan or next summer if he's not a crock.

Kind of makes you think that we'd have been better letting him go for free. That at least would have been a nod to his service at the club. Ah well. It was nailed on to happen.
Lot of change happening at the minute and it'll take a while for things to settle back down.
