Klopp seems to have a bit of the Wenger delusion which prevented him from sustaining his success.
Have any managers other than Fergie managed to sustain success? Mourinho and Guardiola start a new projects rather than rebuilding. Pep does it before his team goes to shit, and Mourinho does it after he's turned them to shit.
Lol. Good point.
Tbf managers get sacked when things go south so they've very little time to rectify things.

Thing with that is, it's really hard to find a 'one club man', especially these days when success needs to be instantaneuos. Fergie and Wenger stuck around and their success kinda guaranteed their job. Guardiola gets his kicks from creating dominating sides in different leagues.

DVB is like the invisible man isn't he! 😂
I think he’s finding it hard to adjust to these games where we see so little of the ball. He is used to more possession play, quick passing.
You also have to remember he warms the bench and gets 5 mins here or there. You can't expect the man to start against an energetic team like Liverpool and boss the midfield when he's probably lacking match fitness/sharpness. You also gotta remember that he has come from a weaker league and it takes time to adjust. Look at de Jong and de Ligt, both of them were pretty ordinary in their first seasons at Barca and Juve respectively.

Amazing win - for the team's continued confidence and to put it to Liverpool! Rashford - Greenwood exchanges and of course Bruno - sublime...

...would help if we played him in the right position instead of just treating him an a Bruno substitute.

Greenwood isn't getting involved enough for my liking. He scored which is good but him and especially VDB need to get involved more.

According to Baggins the win proves he can play many different systems...and there was me thinking he has one system and just changes the players...

Tbf, it was too early to slag Ole off but it's also too early for us to start sucking his dick.
I've always felt, we were lucky to get him because of some encouraging early signs.
Entertaining football, buying players who wanted to play for us, getting rid of expensive signings even before we got replacements and not being fazed by bad or good patches were good indicators.
We're lucky because we have a manager who puts the club first ahead of his own interests.
Ole would have gotten sacked if Woodward had fucked up signing replacements after Lukaku etc were sold. Most managers would chicken out and try to address short term options to keep their job and understandably so.
These are the good signs but again, it all depends on the long term results eventually tbf
